Schiaparelli S/S23 Sunset

a celebration of individuality and uniqueness.

Art by Christina Bui

What I love most about Schiaparelli collections is the limitless desire to be different and standing out from the crowd with a touch of surrealism.

In a world where we are often conformed to the trend and norms, societal expectations of how things should be done, worn and perceived, Daniel stays true to the brand’s aesthetics and brings a new breath to the clothes - questioning the boundaries between reality and our imagination.

For me, it’s the opportunity to offer the house’s admirers pieces that are both everyday and extraordinary. Ready-to-wear may be beholden to certain practical considerations, but that doesn’t mean that the woman who wears it isn’t any less entitled to fantasy than those who buy couture.
— Daniel Roseberry

‘Everyday' clothes but in an extraordinary way, I was captivated by the inventive pieces of jewellery, handbag, and design.

As Daniel shared, the inspirations of this season came from his recent trip to II Pellicano, a luxury resort in Porto Ercole, Italy where it was well known for its beautiful seaside town.

For the Draw A Dot open call, my illustration featured a selection of iconic jewellery pieces and accessories from the collection. Using the beautiful sunset view of Porto Ercole a backdrop, this illustration is like a postcard that captures moments of one's holiday at Hotel II Pellicano. The signature 'Face Bag' that starts any conversations, belt embellishments with chain and eyed bijoux, or the 'Face' bangle - these are all the iconic pieces that define a moment in fashion, build the mystery of the woman and yet you can only find them at Schiaparelli.

To top it off, I am over the moon to be selected as one of Daniel Roseberry's favourite artworks and featured on the fashion house's social media feeds.

Many thanks to Schiaparelli team and Daniel for the endless inspirations and Marcus Kan (from Draw A Dot) for this amazing opportunity! xx
